Sensing A Pattern

{Urban Outfitters top and watch, J. Crew skirt and sandals}
I realized in the car on my way to work yesterday that my style this summer has consisted solely of stripes, pleats, and florals. (One can get a lot of thinking done about all sorts of inane things while sitting in traffic in this city.) This outfit is no exception- in fact, it manages to pair two different florals together.

We're halfway done with the week! Friday, please come sooner.

P.S. I need hair advice! I'm kind of addicted to dying my hair, but have been very successful at resisting the temptation for many months now. Thankfully, my highlights have grown out in a somewhat-acceptable fashion, since ombre hair color is in. But I'm very tempted at the moment to go way blonde. What are your thoughts? What are your fall hair color plans?

  1. My hair is a dark reddish-brown and I've never colored it. Go natural! You've got a nice light brown color. With such a cute face, you could start with a pixie cut ... Maybe that is too extreme, but I think it would look great on you!!

  2. Hmmm I love blonde hair but I personally believe that going super blonde during the fall never looks quite right... it's more of a time to experiment with darker hues... perhaps go the opposite route and try a darker do? something a few shades darker than your roots?

    ps. love.love.love. this skirt. i die.

  3. I LOVE this outfit. I just took my hair from super blonde closer to my natural dark blonde/light brown shade. I'm kinda on the fence about it. My plan was to go darker and chop off some length for the fall, but part of me misses my blonde! But, either way, it's just hair and easy to change so I don't stress about it too much. Go with whatever feels best for you!

  4. Hey lady! I saw some of your hair color pins on pinterest the other day and was wondering if you were considering a change :) We have essentially the same (natural) hair color....I'm thinking of just lightening up my ends quite a bit, ombre style. I think you could totally pull off the Scarlett Johansson blonde though. It'd be dramatic, but I think you'd wear it well. I say go for it.
