Disclaimer: This is an admittedly lame post.
However, I just had to show you this vintage dress that I found over the weekend at Shareen's. I always go into that store telling myself I'm just going to "look," and I can never quite leave without something. In this case, my excuse (a.k.a. the delusion I told myself) was that my mom was in town and I had to show her my beloved favorite vintage store. But when we came upon this dress, I couldn't live without it.
Firstly, it's my favorite '50's silhouette- fitted in the bodice, with a demure neckline, and pleated from the waist. Secondly, the print- I'm obsessed with those roses.
This is my attempt to be Betty Draper (and/or Charlotte York). Now the question is, where will I wear it?
In other news, this week begins just about the craziest three-wek span ever. With my internship ending, moving into school, and other commitments, my life is packed for the next little while! Apologies in advance if my dear little blog here gets a little bit behind as a result.
In the meantime, here are a couple other ways I get my social media on:

Love that dress, I'm sure you'll find a way to make it fresh! :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is great! Definitely work breaking your "only-going-to-look" rule. I bet there are a bunch of ways you could style it. I can see it with a cardigan, tights and heels or boots for fall :)
ReplyDeleteI think it will look fantastic on you! The flowers aren't my style, but the colors will look fabulous on you! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been lurking for a while, but just wanted to say how much I love your style! Mixing vintage with prep essentials is my favorite, and you do it so well. Painfully jealous of that new dress; it's perfect!
