In the midst of all of my "to-do's," sometimes I forget to take a deep breath and have some fun.

But after seeing this spread, I suddenly have the very strong urge to play some major dress up and run around my own version of an English manor...which is what I plan to do this weekend. A beach trip, flea marketing, and some LA restaurant exploring are all on the agenda for the next few days.

Despite the fact that Rachel Zoe hasn't even decided on retailers for her upcoming collection, this spread for Women's Wear Daily--styled by the fashion maven herself, of course--has me on the edge of my seat for the release of the Rachel Zoe Collection. Whether or not you're a fan of Ms. Zoe, it's hard to deny that she has a unique, rarely-faltering eye for styling that no doubt will lend itself to a strong collection. I am so anxious to see these designs in their full glory.

And, unfortunately, though designer collaborations with mass-market retailers have been all the rage recently, we won't be able to enjoy the Rachel Zoe Collection designs at those kinds of value prices. Items will range from $250 to $700.

As Zoe said,“I’d imagine everybody is expecting something from me that’s kind of a Seventies, uberboho-glam kind of thing, and, you know, very accessorized. And it’s not.”

While I don't usually love Lauren Conrad's style (or her line, for that matter), I found it refreshing that she attended a recent red carpet event in a Quail for Urban Outfitters dress.

Though the dress isn't completely outstanding, it's definitely cute and I do love the silhouette.

Proof that dressing well does not necessitate big bucks.
