Back-To-School Basics

{J. Crew shirt, shorts, shoes, Michael Kors watch, gifted pearls}
This outfit is comprised of two recent purchases that I honestly have no idea how I previously lived without: a basic white-button down and neutral sandals.

I have been looking for the perfect white button-down shirt for as long as I can remember. Fit is everything with an item as basic as this, and I searched everywhere for a crisp, tailored one until I saw this shirt on sale online and figured I'd give it a try. Turns out, it's so amazing I want one in every color! It has just a pinch of stretch, and the button placement is perfect- I'm in love.

Another thing my wardrobe had been previously lacking was a pair of sophisticated yet casual neutral sandals. I absolutely adore the shape of this pair, and the nude suede is gorgeously luxe.

With two weeks of school already down, I'm finally getting back in the swing of things, but I'm so thrilled for the three-day-weekend. What are your Labor Day plans?

P.S. I chose Amsterdam!

  5. Oooh, LOVE those sandals! They're great. And I'm so excited for you about your upcoming study abroad! I have the best memories from my time at Stendhal University. I would do it all over again in a heart beat! I still think of Grenoble as "home," in a way, and I'm sure you'll start to feel that way about Amsterdam too.

  6. Those are great basics! I love my nude-ish sandals, I wear them wayy to much. I'm still in search for a white button down that fits well. I'm definitely lacking in the chest department so usually if they fit everywhere the chest area looks empty, or if it fits the chest area, the rest is too tight. Drives me nuts!!

  8. There is nothing better than getting back to the basics. Especially back-to-school ones. This is a lovely outfit! The crisp button down and bright shorts are definitely two great pieces to have on-hand. I also love the nude sandals - thought I failed to find my perfect pair this summer season. Maybe next time around.

    I always love taking a peek at the looks you put together - very inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing. :)
